At Beautiful Rind, we believe cheese is for everyone.
Our mission is to make cheese approachable and enjoyable for all. Through our engaging and interactive guided tastings, we create a welcoming space where you can ask questions and explore the world of cheese with confidence. Led by our knowledgeable cheese professionals, our fun and informative classes are designed to demystify cheese and share the joy it brings.
Upcoming Classes
At Beautiful Rind, we offer engaging cheese classes every week, including multiple sessions to fit your schedule. Every Thursday night, our classroom becomes the hub for an in-depth yet approachable exploration of a specific cheese topic. For beginners, our monthly Intro to Cheese Class is the perfect starting point for your cheese journey. Wine enthusiasts will love our popular Wines & Rinds series, where we pair five wines and cheeses around a shared theme. But we don’t stop there—our calendar features a variety of cheese-focused pairings, including chocolate, beer, alcohol-free beverages, and much more.
To maintain an intimate and personalized experience, all of our classes are ticketed events with limited seating. Once a non-refundable ticket is purchased, your seat is secured. While tickets are non-transferable to other dates and not eligible for resale, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another person if needed. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure availability and consistency for all our attendees. Grab your tickets now!
For groups of eight or more, we also offer private classes tailored to your interests. Get details.
FAQs
What is a cheese class?
Our classes are a fun, interactive way to help you gain a new appreciation for everyone’s favorite food, cheese. Our team of ACS CCP’s lead a tasting of five or more cheeses while also explaining, in easy-to-understand terms, the theme of the tasting.
Do you accommodate special diets?
If we know in advance we can accommodate many special diets and allergies. However, due to the nature of artisan cheese we are not able to offer vegan, milk-free, kosher, or halal substitutions. Unless noted, our boards are free of most major allergens, including nuts and peanuts. Most classes can be offered gluten-free or with all pasteurized cheeses, but we may need to substitute a few cheeses. For other diets, please reach out to our team.
How long are the classes?
We aim for around one hour for most classes. However, we really love talking about cheese and answering questions from our guests about cheese, so they do occasionally last around an hour and a half.
Do you offer private classes?
We do! We love to host groups of up to 20 people in our classroom or up to 50+ people off-site. We offer a wide variety of classes & tastings or can create a custom event. Complete the form above at least two weeks prior and we’ll be in touch with more info!
When are the classes?
Our team teaches over 200 classes a year so there is a good chance we have one soon! We offer classes nearly every Thursday at 7 pm and a few other weeknights a month. Our rotating schedule of weekend classes usually highlight beverage pairing or other fun topics. Check our Tock page for upcoming classes or send us an email. Pro-tip… we’ve also been known to offer a class by popular request.
Should I know about cheese first?
Nope! We are all about making cheese accessible so we keep our classes easy to understand. Our Intro to Cheese class, offered at least once a month, is a great place to start, but it’s not necessary to understand other classes. All you need is a willingness to learn and eat cheese.
How do I get tickets to you classes?
Our class tickets may be found on our Tock site. We limit most events to 20 people, so be sure to purchase your tickets as they often sell out. To help ensure availability, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable beginning two weeks prior to the event.
Can I book a large group?
We limit party size to five people because that is the largest table we have in our classroom. You are welcome to purchase multiple tickets, but please know you will be seated at adjacent tables once your party size exceeds five. Also, be sure to let us know via email or by answering your pre-visit questions if you are sitting with another ticket holder or group.
I have another question…
Please send us an email or give us a call. We loook forward to seeing you in a future class!
